OUR Services
Concept Development
All designs start with an idea, a concept. Many times clients have an idea of what they want and we can move right into the design phase. If not, we are fully prepared to jump in and help determine the starting point. It usually begins with a brainstorm of questions about the project goals and some visual research. We can quickly provide mood boards and inspiration to help steer the project direction. It might be a few napkin sketches, or AI generated imagery.
Custom designs
Design is where we shine. This is where pencil meets paper (or mouse clicks turn into magic) and the idea is turned into stunning visuals. From here we welcome and encourage feedback from the client at every stage. We take this feedback to make edits and present revised visuals for more feedback and approvals. We are never hesitant to shelve an idea and start over based on this crucial feedback. It’s how we know that the end product will exceed our client’s expectations.
fabrication
Barker’s background started with scenic fabrication & technical direction. This keeps the “how” of construction in mind when designing a project. We keep this method in practice for a quicker and more cost effective transition from design to build.
Our crew is made up of a diverse and talented group who are always professional and courteous. It’s not often that a project comes in that is beyond the capabilities of our normal operations, but in that instance we have an extensive network of master carpenters, welders, sculptors, scenic artists, printers, powder coaters, makers, and craftspeople who join the team. We are able to scale to meet the demands of tight timelines and complex projects. Knowing who is the best for each part of fabrication and bringing them in for their part has proven to provide exceptional results time and time again.
installation
Bringing it all together is the final step. It just makes sense to be involved here to make sure the vision of the design and the efforts of fabrication are successfully combined. We wouldn’t have it any other way.
